Donald Trump Blames Fake News Once More

In our second installment of our series ‘World War III Trump V. The Media’, we write today subsequent to President Donald Trump blaming the media at a news conference today. The conference was supposed to be an announcement by Mr. Trump about his new nominee for labor secretary. The nominee is R. Alexander Acosta, who is currently a law school dean and clerked for Samuel Alito when he was still an appeals court judge.

The news conference was supposed to be on the subject of his Mr. Acosta, but it ended up being so much more than that to the extent that Mr. Acosta’s nomination is a mere footnote of the conference. The discussion in the East Room today ranged from the results of the November election to the extent of his electoral college victory.

He talked of his nominee for labor secretary for a full one paragraph, noting that Mr. Acosta has a degree from Harvard and that he has been through Senate confirmation three times.

I inherited a mess. It’s a mess. At home and abroad, a mess. Jobs are pouring out of the country; you see what’s going on with all of the companies leaving our country, going to Mexico and other places, low pay, low wages, mass instability overseas

Let’s make one thing clear. This news conference was for one purpose and one purpose only: to announce his nominee for secretary of labor. This turned into an opportunity for the President of the United States to insult the institution of journalism as a whole.

It’s all fake news. It’s all fake news. It’s illegal, giving out classified information. It was given out like so much

He also took the opprotunity to take yet another victory lap about his win, and then also say make remarks that were just plain false.

I guess it was the biggest electoral college win since Ronald Reagan

The truth is that 3 of the last 4 presidential winners got more electoral votes than he did.

ISIS has spread like cancer-another mess I inherited.

The truth is that ISIS is on the ropes in Iraq and Syria, and as mentioned in a previous article, liberating Mosul is on the horizon.
